Brother-To-Brother's vision is for all men of color to be empowered to live in a community where homelessness, unemployment, poor health, paternal absenteeism, and incarceration are eliminated.
As you are aware, Maui has been devastated by fire. We are members of the Brother to Brother organization which consists of African American Christian men that have met weekly for the past 26 years to study God’s word. We serve the needs of those less fortunate beginning in Oakland / Berkeley / Richmond communities and now has a national presence.
We are reaching out to ask for your financial support for the people of Maui.
This fund is to provide relief to the many families that have lost a loved one and to help rebuild their communities in Maui.
We are using our Brother-to-Brother 501(c)(3) status to raise and deliver funds directly to non-governmental organizations providing food, shelter, clothing and other resources to the indigenous people of Maui, many of whom work in the hospitality industry which has been largely shut down due to the devastating and tragic fire.
Any donation you can make will be greatly appreciated by the people affected who have lost loved ones, homes, and jobs.
As part of being a direct conduit of support, we will also document for donors how the funds are being deployed to restore faith and hope to those in need.
I believe Jesus said it best, “…for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me…
Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to me.”
Matt 25:35-36,45
May the Lord Bless you and your giving!

i. We build one-to-one mentoring relationships that provide consistent and positive role modeling for youth. We recruit, train and support mentors to meet with their mentees for at least four hours per month, for one year.
ii. Mentees are youth ages 4-18 who need positive male influence.
iii. Mentoring relationships can have a tremendous impact on the lives of youth: exposing them to new things, encouraging them to make positive choices, allowing them to express their feelings, learning new life skills, providing a positive influence and someone on whom the youth can rely.
iv. If you are interested in becoming a mentor or know a young person who would benefit from a mentor relationship, please contact us.
